Upon writing "A Bloody Finish: The Boston Marathon Bombing", somebody on Facebook brought something to my attention that I felt was worth looking into:
"Today there is a vote on the CISPA that seriously threatens our privacy. When I saw the bombings I thought, 'How long until someone claims that if CISPA passed they would have better been able to predict and head off events like this?' Just another thought about why it might have happened, vs. a bigger budget."
So...to Google, I went. FIrst of all, what is CISPA? Here is good breakdown:http://www.ibtimes.com/what-cispa-2012-inside-bill-has-internet-privacy-advocates-arms-693333#

I couldn't find anything in the news where anyone is making a connection between CISPA and the prevention of the Boston Marathon Bombing, however, it is coincidental that this happened the week the house meets to vote on it. Either way, you can count on our government to not let a good tragedy go to waste.
